Microsoft plants the Cloud in Canadian Soil

Microsoft announced today that they are planning on delivering Office 365, Azure and Dynamics cloud services from two brand new datacenters on Canadian soil – planted in Toronto and Quebec City. This is such awesome news, as it finally answers the roadblock that many Canadian companies have around their data living in US datacenters!

Whether this roadblock is justified or not, Canadian datacenters will open up many more opportunities for Canadian companies to move to the cloud and still keep their information safely in Canada.

These data centers are scheduled to go online in 2016 – I, for one, cannot wait!
