My, How Time Flies!

I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I hit 10,000 page views on my blog – it was a pleasant surprise to see then, and seeing that blog post now made me curious to see how much that had changed in the last year…

For those of you who don’t know, this last year has been a big one for me – I’ve moved from Victoria to Vancouver, and taken a job with Long View Systems. I’m still focused on Office 365, and I’m now working with larger companies and still helping to drive hybrid architecture through On Premise / Azure / Office 365 deployments, and whatever combination of these platforms fits the business need – there is no “one size fits all” approach to technology: every client and situation is unique, and their technology needs are going to be different. But I digress…

At any rate, it’s been a crazy ride for me, adjusting to life in the big(ger) city, along with all that entails. And my blog? The hits have been steadily climbing – in the last year, I’ve more than doubled my page views!

I still have my blog at itgroove up and running, although for not much longer – it’s generated a total of 30,653 views over the last year, which is just over a 20,000 hit increase!

My new blog (which you’re reading now), is slowly starting to generate more traffic as search engine crawlers slowly update my content from the old site to the new, and in the last 8 months, has generated a respectable 1,911 page views.

Combined, this brings me to a grand total of 32,564 views since I started blogging just over 2 years ago. Not on par with some of the juggernauts out there, but it makes me incredibly happy nonetheless to know that there are folks out there that find my knowledge useful, and even stop to leave a comment from time to time – thanks for that!

Since I was looking at stats, here’s some of my most read posts:

Thanks for stopping by, here’s to another great year!!
